RE: So.. I've decided.

Good luck with that, I think it's a good decision. What are you planning on going for?
I just graduated with a Bachelor's degree in May--it still feels weird to say that. I'm doing a little extra schooling at the moment but hope to get in the job hunt by September, or sooner.

RE: Pat's Wes Welker Already Practicing.

Femurs aren't broken in football too often, they're an injury you see in traumatic car crashes and there's usually soft tissue damage. ACL's don't need to be repaired if you aren't an active person. Philip Rivers played on a torn ACL in the playoffs a few years ago. After ACL surgery you can walk on the leg within a day or two with an immobilizer brace, allowing the person to keep most of the muscle mass and memory. A broken femur can't support weight until it's healed, otherwise it can heal out of alignment. This means the muscles atrophy and you have to build them up all over again. I realize this post is a short novel; I just felt like typing. The end.

RE: Pat's Wes Welker Already Practicing.

That's impressive but I'm not surprised because of the caliber of athletes that are in the NFL. Especially with ones that have the drive to rehab from that kind of injury.
My boy EJ Henderson of the Vikings is expecting to be ready for week 1 after fracturing his femur in December and having a titanium rod put in his leg. If he can pull this off, I give EJ slightly more points on the impressivenes scale over Welker. If you didn't see the injury, look up the video.

RE: Not too happy with FMF right now...

So does it have the rhinoceros farting in a trash can sound like a ute, or is it just the poor sound quality?
Mine seems like a deeper tone. I imagine it's a lot like the sound of cchagros farting in a trash can.
That's a bummer on the pipe. I'd definitely be giving FMF a call.

RE: Best Ladies Quad???

I would suggest the Honda 250EX and the Suzuki Z250. They both have a manual gearbox but the operator does not operate the clutch. All that needs to be done is changing gears with the left foot. These are great starter sport quads but will not be faster than a mid-sized utility quad or larger. They are, however, much more maneuverable and lighter.
If she's looking for something faster and larger with four-wheel drive, look into the Polaris Scrambler or Can-Am Renegade (500cc) models with a CVT transmission.

RE: Razrs or Holeshots

I have Holeshot GNCC's and they're great. They're a deep tread and are 6 ply.

RE: Nicknames

I have plenty, almost all have to do with my 6'5" 275 pound frame. A couple are bigness, shrek, and those universal ones that camo listed off.

Ugly Mugs

It's about time we get another "Ugly Mug" thread up. I can remember there being 2 or 3 in the past. Anyway, I'll give cchagros and warrior~kid the pleasure of posting my first mug. Let's see some toothless grins, I think that's a requirement of all carnies.

RE: Is this thing on???

I check in daily. I recently made an account at Thumpertalk and I like it. It's ATV section isn't the busiest but it's nice being able to check out forums for pretty much anything motorsports and some sub forums that have to do with motorsports.

RE: Favre

Brett's performance last night was ballsy and he made mistakes, clearly, but I think it's naive to place the blame solely on him. Bad days at work happen; don't tell me you're spot on at work 100% of the time. Brett's style isn't conventional in any way, he has poor mechanics and we all know he can throw some bad interceptions but he makes it work. This year has been an exception to his career and had some incredible plays this season that are unfortunately going to be overshadowed by this game.
Since you're from Canada and have been watching subpar football in the form of the CFL, I forgive you.

RE: Ride Today

Sounds like a good time. Get your sore arse up and get that video edited.
I have ridden in 0 degree weather several times. One was a two day ride. I'll be darned if I travel a couple hours only to pack it up after a couple minutes. I'm from the great white north, afterall.

RE: Patriots..........move over..

Belichick needs to smile and get rid of those hideous sweatshirts.
I knew you were studying to be a cop, but I didn't realize it was the Fashion Police. Something you car to share with the class, Mr. "My home team wears purple?" :h
I don't see anyone else wearing those sweatshirts and his face looks permanently like TTP's when his greencard got taken away. Purple is the royal color. If you don't like it, the bottom line is my team plays on while yours packs up for next year.
Yes...bask in that glory, howeve short lived. The Vikes make it to the big dance about as often as the Red Sox win a World Series.
I will bask in the glory for however long it lasts. The last time we had a legitimate chance was with Randall Cunningham, Randy Moss, Cris Carter, and Robert Smith. The dance hasn't been good to us but hopefully this year Brett gets in for his last dance. I'm sure he'll retire if he wins it.
