RE: Who's Burning a Koran Saturday?

I agree that it's not going to do any good... Fighting fire with fire is only going to make a bigger fire. This is only going to escalate the extreme-ism (if that's a word). I hope that preacher drops the match and lights his pants on fire.I have to admit, the days following 9/11, I hated all Muslims. But over the following years, I realize their not all involved in terrorism. Look at all the families, in Iraq and Afghanistan, just trying to survive. We have some Muslims, in Town, who operate a Shell gas station, and the owners son, goes to pre-school with my son. The Father seems like a good guy, but I would never turn my back on him, and I don't like feeling like that. Hate just procreates hate; we have to try to make a better World for our kids. Look at how the Germans treated the Jews, in WW2, anything remotely resembling that, should never be allowed to happen again, in Human history.

Who's Burning a Koran Saturday?

Who's going to burn a Koran Saturday? That Preacher in Florida seems pretty gung-ho, to light the fire. While the radical ragheads have been burning effigies of our leaders along with our flag, for many years, I've never seen a Christen Bible being burned, by them. I'm sure they do, but for some reason, the media has never shown it. I knew two people personally, who were killed on Sept 11th. I hate all the fanatics who were involved, and their not all Muslims. But how can you hate an entire Religion, that the bulk of the people had no involvement? I think this Koran burning will cause a lot of harm toward our Soldiers. That's the primary reason, I can't support it.

RE: My new project...XS650 Chopper

Rattle can flat black. PC would cost about $200 and Im trying to stay a bit budget oriented. However biggest reason Im not going with powder is the motor is super tight in the frame so I know I'd scuff/scratch it putting the motor back in. If I scratch PC Im screwed, if I scratch spray paint it's no biggie.Nothing wrong with that. Just spend a few bucks on a good primer, such as this :LINK. I used this stuff on a 92 Dodge Truck frame; it halted existing rust, and prevented future rust. No easy task, on older Chrysler products.:)

RE: My new project...XS650 Chopper

New toy came in today. 1500lb capacity air operated. Has the ATV extensions to go up to 48" wide.
http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w25/YOUR-AD-HERE/XS650/IMG00065-20100825-2017.jpg Loving that lift! Northern Tool has them too. I buy a lot from them. Are you going to power coat the frame? A place here in town does sport atv frames, black, for $250, bikes, a little less I believe. Not a bad price imo.

RE: The New John Deere Gator.

Much better than the original AMT, I guess it had to all start somewhere.
http://www.machinefinder.com/images/machines/14/940514/388458_huge.jpg height=500 width=700What did that leading arm front suspension, have for travel, wasn't it like 1 1/2", and didn't they have one of the first CVT trans in a wheeled vehicle? Primitive by today's standards, but quite innovative when the came out. Jon, you should open a museum, with all the artifacts you have.

RE: The New John Deere Gator.

Forgot to mention CC's carnival was set up at the fair, looked good, but wasn't operating yet. I did spot his truck in the staff camping area, but didn't see him. Wanted to say hi, so I asked the Indian psychic, who works their, and predicts the future to people, where he might be. His response: "I have no idea, where he is." :S
While I did have two stands there, I was at the Woodstock Fair in Ct with the bulk of my equipment. A guy up there has a clone of my truck. Hope you had a great time!Didn't realize you're territory went that far south. Hope you're season is going well. Maybe we'll see you at Deerfield.

How does it compare with the Polaris, Honda, Kawasaki for noise? Looking for quietest one for hunting.Good question. I don't know if anyone has done specific noise db comparisons. I believe their mandated by the feds, to be under 92 db's now. A company named Kolpin, makes a stealth exhaust kit, for virtually any off road vehicle.:;LINK

But my Dad did say at D-Day, most Canadian causalities were caused by drownings, because they forgot their swimmies.
The Canadians were the only invading force to capture its objective on D-Day. (read your history books)
Your father seeing humor in thousands of vets taking their last breath while clutching pictures of families they would never see again is remarkable. I did apologize 30. The Canadian Military is a force to be reckoned with. I think their ranked 36th, right behind Luxembourg. But you did drive us back in the Revolutionary War. Just kidding around, after all we're allies; and we don't boo you're national anthem, at the hockey games, down here.

The New John Deere Gator.

Saw one of these at the Hopkinton N.H., State fair, this past Thursday.New John Deere Gator. I have to say I was pretty impressed. Much improved over previous Gators. Fairly compact footprint, stout frame and suspension, and most interesting of all: an inline 3 cylinder engine. Not as sporty as a RZR, but more so than a Ranger or a Big Red. Seems like a nice compromise between utilitarian, and sport aspects. I think you're going to see more, 3 and possibly 4 cylinder inline engines, come into the market. I'm hoping Yamaha goes with their 997cc, in the next generation Grizzly's and Rhinos.

RE: what 4x4 4 wheeler to buy

Im new to this site but have been around wheeler for a while grew up with polaris everything from a trailboss 250 to a sportsman 700 . im currently looking at wheelers but dealers tell me to stay away from a polaris dont really know why they have told me to look at yamaha and can am i really like the sportman 500 ho specially for the price $5900 then i looked at the grizzley 450 $ 7800 and the big bear 400 $ 5800 i really think the can am are over priced since the 400 is about $8500 i also checked out the hondas rancher 420 $6200 but no independent rear suspension. now as far as what ill use it for i have a trail behind mower , hunting , snow plowing , and fun go on tons of rides all over the place from snirt runs to full out all mud . now i have a dealer that sells everything and another that sells kawaski and yahmaha they both say go with the big bear but to me since i ahve ran a big bore machine a 400 seems small but they both tell me it will do anything the big bore will do? i know the sportsman 500 will since ive seen what they can do . can anyone please help me with what to choose i dont know why dealers say stay away from a polaris but they have me wondering and i dont know much about other wheelers any help will be appriciated A Polaris Sportsman 500HO for $5900, doesn't seem like a bad deal at all. Their ride is great, and their fairly quick for a big machine. But they are somewhat more problematic than a Honda or Yamaha. If you don't need a fast machine, either the Honda 420, or the Yamaha Big Bear 400, Both have been updated in recent years, and both have reputations as bulletproof, simpler designs. They also handle work very well, as their geared transmissions compensate for their lower CC engines. Also check out Suzuki's King Quads, Suzuki usually has some great deals on year-end left-over models. Take you're time, test ride, and think it out.

RE: Alabama jobs

I was offered a job a few weeks ago, running a front end loader for a big materials corporation. The company's name is Aggregate Materials Inc, one of the bigger outfits, here in the Northeast. Unfortunately, I would have had to cross a Teamsters picket line, to work. They were striking because the company cut all their hours down to 28 1/2, just under the minimum to receive benefits, from them. My Brother was in the Teamsters for 14 years, and said they don't take kindly to scabs. They used to follow people home, then harass them, and their families. Not my idea of a good time. And not only that, a company that would treat their employees like that; would certainly do it again, in the future. Unions and Corporations: two corrupt parties, both using us as pawns, for their own gains.

RE: All around ATV

The Arctic Cat diesel 700 is the most capable work oriented machine out there. But as Camo stated (a sport machine rider) any 4x4 big bore will get the job done. The Polaris big displacement machines would be a close second. With their stout frames, and high towing capacity, they handle work loads well. Are you sure that Cat has improved their. Also I still pull a lot of Popo's A diesel engine is still the most capable engine as far as putting power to the ground. I would rather see a manual or semi manual trans, rather than the CVT, but low rpm torque go's to a diesel, bear, as far as work,it surpasses you're mighty Can Am v- twins.

He was at Omaha beach dragging dead and wounded people off the beach. He was a pharmacists mate, a Navy term for a Medic. I apologize for my comments. The Canadians and British did well securing a port city that had an estimated 3000 defenders. They were able to have tea at four o'clock. Omaha beach beach on the other hand had about 4000 causalities by noon time. But all that fought deserve respect.

what do expect from largest gold holder in the world, most of it stolen, by the Spanish, for the church. Their gold repository makes Fort Knox look like a broom closet.
When the queers take over they will certainly want to get revenge on the church. When this happens they will burn all the bibles and return the gold to the fags and cross dressers! I think i'm gonna get the bomb shelter ready and order another pallet of ammo. I thought you would have more respect for the Canadian Military than that. RE: What's Wrong With The Judical Branch of Government.

Christians are against gay marriage because they believe gayness is wrong to start with. The Bible says "lay not with another man". But let us remember that the Bible was written by men, not God. The ideas set forth are those of men, as they were interpreted by men. The 10 Commandments are the only rules laid down directly by God. The rest were made up by men of the churches and Synagogues.
IF God is the all knowing, all loving, all forgiving entity the writers of the Bible say he is, then he will hate no one for any act they commit. HE would not be capable of hate. Only WE are capable of such an emotion. God can be angered, as seen in the case of the flood, and of Lot's wife. But then again, both of those stories were written by men, not God. The teachings and acts of Jesus, in which he only was provoked to anger once in his entire life, points more to the temperment of God than does the Old Testament, where God was depicted as vengeful and easily riled. The whole idea of a vengeful God was used to make people tow the line, walk the straight and narrow path. Hence the saying "God will get you for that", and the Bible passage "Vengeance is mine, sayeth the Lord". It's actually more on the order of 600 Commandments, in which Moses was given by God. The Catholic church omitted most of them, when they edited the books of the Bible, and left many out, to better suit their needs, not mans. But what do expect from largest gold holder in the world, most of it stolen, by the Spanish, for the church. Their gold repository makes Fort Knox look like a broom closet.
