RE: Arizona's New Immigration Laws. Good or Bad?

I feel sure his Dark Highness will lose any battle in the courts. Since the Feds are doing next to nothing to secure our borders (besides lip service and feel-good-do nothing-policies), the states must insure the security of their citizens. I also see a Civil war in the future, but it might well be racial with all the hatred being stirred up by Obuma and his gang. Anyone who disagrees with him is being called a racist, and some factions of the larger minority groups are getting riled up. Arm well, and stock up on supplies.

Sounds like every state needs to pass the same law. At least Az. law makers have some gonads.

RE: Drill, baby, drill.

Oil has been seeping into the oceans naturally for millions of years. The biological means are there to handle it. Trillions of oil-eating bacterias will develop in the Gulf and consume most of it, but it will take time. The pitiful attempts to clean it up will do nothing in comparison to nature's cleaning methods. I will point out that we did not invent crude oil, we only found uses for it. It has been here long before we were. To suggest that this leak is a natural occurrence is asinine. To think that anyone here thinks so is just plain ignorant. But nature has ways of dealing with it better than we can. Who do I blame for this disaster? 1.BP of course. Their safety record is appalling. And remember, BP is British Petroleum, it is NOT an American company. Regret the day BP bought Standard Oil. 2.The current Administration just as much. There were means at hand to contain it, and Obama's team denied the use of EVERY SINGLE one of them. Not to mention that this very platform was inspected 10 days before the explosion by Obama's Dept. of Interior and given a clean bill of health. 3.The Tree Huggers, for fighting close-to-shore shallow water drilling tooth and nail. Had this catastrophe occurred in 200 feet of water, the well would have been capped within 48-72 hours.

RE: Drill, baby, drill.

Rush happens to be correct. I will point out the millions of barrels of crude oil, gas, diesel, aviation fuel, ect were spilled into both the Atlantic and the Pacific during WW2, with not one bit of an effort to clean it up, and the oceans suffered short term damage, but a long term proliferation of life. Look at Pearl Harbor. Enough oil products were spilled there on Dec. 7, 1941 to choke the place dead, but it is beautiful today. The amount of crude spilled into the western Pacific in the last two years of the war dwarfs the Gulf spill. In the long term, Rush is exactly correct. However, we humans in our current stage of development and mind set do not see the long term, and want only instant gratifications. We see oil drowned birds and want them cleaned, we see oil stained white sand beaches and want those who caused it punished, as well an an immediate clean-up. In the short term this spill is going to be a mess, but in the long term the Gulf will flourish.

RE: Don't ask,Don't tell!

Don't know about you all, but if I was in a fox hole with another dude, I would very much like to know if he was thinking about sucking my d!ck or not. If it was all out in the open, they could team up the gays and leave the normal folks to themselves. Of course this would lead to discrimination and probably worse, so perhaps it is better to leave it the way it is.

RE: Drill, baby, drill.

When you take into consideration that the White House gave BP an exemption for replacing blow-out preventers in April, 2009 (and indeed, this very preventer was due for replacement), this whole oil spill tragedy falls squarely on the current Administration's shoulders. Of course, it should be known that BP was a big contributor to the Obama campaign in 2008.

RE: Arizona's New Immigration Laws. Good or Bad?

Legal income. If counting illegal income, drugs would most likely be #1.

They have oil, their #1 source of National income. We buy most of it. Money sent from illegals back to Mexico is their #2 source of income.

RE: Arizona's New Immigration Laws. Good or Bad?

If you are caught in Mexico illegally, the first time it can mean 2 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. The second time it is 10 years, and the third time they throw away the key to your cell. And from what I have heard, you do not want to spend even a day in a Mexican Federal prison if you are white. Polaris is moving one of their Wisconsin plants to Mexico. 515 Americans will be out of a job. http://www.startribune.com/business/94533809.html?elr=KArksUUUycaEacyU

RE: Arizona's New Immigration Laws. Good or Bad?

Illegals are costing AZ $3 billion a year in public assistance, health care costs (thanks to the Federal law requiring anyone who comes into an emergency room to get care, whether they have insurance or can pay for their treatment or not), and unpaid income taxes. This is another reason for the law. On a side note, some members of the State House here in Ohio offered up a bill very similar to the one in AZ. Our "illustrious" Democrap Governor immediately stated he would veto it. It never got to the floor, even with some 300,000 illegals in the state. I have seen some of them. They were drywall hangers, stone masons, carpet layers, carpenters, brick layers, and concrete workers. They do good work I have to say, and get paid about 1/2 what an American non-union crew gets paid, and about 1/3 of what Union tradesmen earn. So don't believe what the politicians say about illegals doing work Americans won't do, it is BS.

RE: Arizona's New Immigration Laws. Good or Bad?

The way the law is written, such questions are permitted only during a stop for another violation or inquiry. And since most contact with the law will be by local cops, it is doubtful many will be questioned many times per day or week, since they will know their local folks. However, if a cop pulls over a pick-up for a brake light problem, with 5 guys in it, and none speak decent English, it is a sure bet they will be asked for ID.

RE: Arizona's New Immigration Laws. Good or Bad?

Point is, it is not about race, it isn't even about illegal workers, it is about crime. Arizonans are tired of their citizens being murdered, raped, kidnapped, robbed, homes invaded, ect. The large majority of this is being committed by illegals, regardless of country of origin. Phoenix is now the kidnapping capital of the country, thanks to illegals kidnapping citizens, and other illegals as well. 800-1200 teenage girls a year are being kidnapped between CA and TX, and sold to drug lords south of the border to be sex, or otherwise, slaves. Some are returned, by ransom or by force, some are never seen again. The Feds won't enforce their own laws, so someone needs to do it. It has to stop.

RE: Toyota ?

Lance has it right, it is politics and a sue happy populace. Don't see all the media hype about the 37 (yes, count them 37) safety recalls that the Big 3 have had in the last few years, do you? I have two Toys. Neither has had the gas pedal stick, nor do I know anyone who has. It is being blown all out of proportion by constant media coverage. Until this hit the media there were 17 cases of unexplained acceleration. Now there are hundreds all of a sudden. People in jail for vehicular manslaughter are even saying now that it was the car's fault. Sheesh! +30, the crappy economy is now Obuma's baby, not Bushy Boy's. It's been a year, and $787 billion should have fixed it. It did not and will not. Not when the billions are being used for government and not private enterprise. You can quit blaming Bush any time. Especially since the laws that made it to happen were passed by a Democrap Congress and signed by a Democrap Pres. If anyone should be in jail it would be Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, and William Jefferson Clinton.

I for one do not believe the no bias towards the manufacturer who is shelling out the most for ads comment. Have seen it too many times. Even had one editor, to whom I wrote a letter on same, comment that the manufacturer in question decided to place their full page ads AFTER the mag editors informed them of the highest ranking in a shootout that was scheduled to be published. Now why would an editor inform them if he wasn't looking for some green to come his way? An editor has the responsibility to see that his mag makes money, and the "you scratch my back I'll scratch yours" is too firmly embedded in American culture for it not to find it's way into the mag business. As for the other mistakes, I will let them slide, since we are all human. However, even my Rincon, the earliest model at 7 seven years old, can be started in gear, and it shows a very intense unfamiliarity with the product to nationally state that it cannot. I guess the testers did not both to read an owners manual over 7 years.

RE: Pansys are in bloom here and its not spring yet.

You don't get past the sex part until AFTER you are married. Like maybe 5-10 years after. With some folks even 20. Therefore, the sex part still applies. Since I have not remarried, I must see no reason to do so again. Once was enough. Divorcees are more than happy to take care of the sex part, and therefore there is no reason to get married again. When the divorcees start talking commitment, I start backing off. And there are sh!tloads of 30-50 year old divorcees out there. The only real reason I see for marriage is to provide a stable and loving environment (which all to frequently turns into the exact opposite) in which to raise kids. If there are no plans for kids, there is no reason for marriage. +30, I need chest waders. The BS is getting mighty deep in here.

The reasons for getting married varies from person to person. But, I think I can safely say most dudes get married to ensure themselves a constant supply of p u s s y, or to lock in a specific p u s s y all for themselves. Some will not admit it, but therein lies the whole deal. ;)

Woodsie, I have a friend who thinks as you do....even moreso. Last week, he told me every sporting event, from the Superbowl to the World Series, to the Golf Tournaments, to Tennis Matches are all rigged and the results controlled by money. He even stated all the Olympic events are fixed. I do understand, however, where you would come up with your beliefs about the ATV shootouts. Same with Car magazines, etc. Next time they give out the Truck of the Year award at Motor Trend, count the ads. I will go one step further and state, unequivocally, that EVERYTHING is controlled by money, and/or the quest for power and control. And it is not just the capitalist system where this is true. Every system, every government, every politician, every company, every entity of any kind, has it's roots in the quest for power, control, and money.

Where would you like the manufacturers to advertise, womens weekly? Take the articles for what they are, the magazines way of getting people to pick it up and spend money on it. Even though Can Am has made the best big bore since 2006 they havent won every shoot out now have they. The mags like to mix it up to keep things interesting. No one likes to see the same team win all the time. Although i do like to read the shoot outs, (have been since the late '70's) i take what i read as just the opinions of the test riders nothing more. In 2010 every manufacturer makes a good quad, not much to argue about. LOL, Woods i admire your undying 'everything is a conspiracy' way of thinking! :B How about Harper's Bazaar? If you happen to have a stack of ATV mags laying around and are bored some cold snowy day, take them out and make note of two things: 1. Which manufacturer has the most full page ads. 2. Which manufacturer won whatever shootouts were published. You will find they are one and the same, with a few, and rare, exceptions. Living in this world at this time, everything IS a conspiracy. Those who think not are devoid of the facts.
