Looking at new cell to replace my Razor Motorola. I just acquired a new netbook by HP,and am thinking about a new cell.Any suggestions? I am now a Verizon client.Been with AT&T,but their netbook service doesn't work in the area I need it.

If you would like a gaming phone the new HTC Droid is the way to go. Got a couple friends with them and they got so many neat features i wish i could have gotten one instead of my TouchPro 2. I really like the bar code scanning feature. Just take a picture of any bar code and it will tell you the price of that product. Also has a built in level that i thought was a crafty idea.

I too am a Verizon "client". I am personally a blackberry man, because it fits my needs in a phone. If you go with blackberry, DO NOT get the storm or storm2.

I heard good things about the droid, but haven't used one myself. basically anything you get is going to be better than the dreaded rzr.

Blackberries are so popular for a reason... they work...

I have a Nokia N97 right now an hate it...

Your best bet is to go in and get bothered by some salesperson... give him a list of things you need out of your phone and price range you want to stick to.

Never hurts to shop around, there are cellphone deals everywhere if you look hard enough.

a thing to remember for verizon

they TAX for every little thing! data plan (for blackberry's) is an additional 30$/month +your normal plan. verizon is NOT cheap, but they have the best service (in my area) and have done nothing but good things for me. i've been with them for 4 years now, and have yet to be phucked over by them.

best thing to do is like WK said, go in and get bothered by them. tell them what you are looking for out of your phone, and they will point you to the phone that best suits your needs.

Since I have the netbook,I really don't need a "Blackberry"...I don't think? The netbook is very small and I can take it anywhere...My needs are a good camera, and good reception.Waterproof would be nice, since I use mine around water. I fell in the creek behind my house last year and my Razor died quickly. Also email ability(sending pics) to my desk top. I guess I do need to see a salesperson...thanks guys

i stand corrected. Looks like this is the phone you might want to look at willie! seems to fit your needs, when it comes to water. and if you're falling a lot, it's shock resistant too!

I just got a palm pre last week and it's pretty good. A little complicated at first but has the easiest operating system, easy to multitask on, internet is pretty fast, has all kinds of cool features. Video/camera w/ a flash and it takes great pictures. You can edit videos on the phone.

Sprint has them, check it out.

It's probably not waterproof though.

Monster in the making.
